Trust, broken into three independent signals.
The recruiting industry is full of marketing-grade promises and zero evidence. TalentPros works the other way: every claim on this site is backed by something a buyer could verify themselves.
We don't take agencies' word for it — and we don't ask you to take ours.
Most directories run on pay-to-list incentives. The bigger your check, the higher you rank. We work differently: every Verified badge is earned through reference checks, reviews come from verified buyers, and Awards are computed from review aggregates — not editorial gut feel. Tiered visibility is real, but the badge of trust is not for sale.
Verified is the floor. Reviews are the social proof. Awards are the ceiling.
01
Verified
Before any agency makes the directory, we confirm three buyer references. We talk to the people who actually hired them — not the recruiters on the agency's side. References are revisited periodically; if they go cold, the badge goes.
- →Three confirmed buyer references at minimum
- →Binary status — you're Verified or you're not
- →Reversible — bad references → badge removed
02
Buyer reviews
Only verified buyers can leave reviews. Either they get an invite from the agency (single-use token), or they submit with a work email that matches a known client domain. No anonymous reviews. No agency-paid placements. No exceptions.
- →Invite-based or work-email-verified — never anonymous
- →B2B reviews are highly gameable, so we don't take chances
- →Agencies can respond to reviews; they can't take them down
03
Annual Awards
Each year in Q4, we publish 'Best of' winners by service, sector, and city. Rankings are computed from review aggregates (count × log(years) × rating). The math is published. Winners get an embeddable badge with a real link back here — not a paid placement.
- →Eligibility floor: 5+ reviews, 4.0+ average rating
- →Algorithm public, not editorial
- →Embeddable badge → backlink → SEO authority loop
Two paths in. One bar of evidence.
The directory has two kinds of profiles. Whichever path a listing took, the trust signals on the page are what you can trust — Verified badge, buyer reviews, Awards. Nothing else gets dressed up.
Unclaimed
We built it from public data.
Most listings start as unclaimed profiles — assembled from company websites, LinkedIn, public records. The agency hasn't claimed it yet, and we don't editorialize on these. Reviews start at zero and stay there until a verified buyer submits one. Any agency can claim its listing, fill it in, and apply for Verified.
Verified
The agency applied directly.
Agencies send us their references and the contract they sign with new clients. We call all three references. If they check out, the agency gets the Verified badge and the full profile. From there they can upgrade to Member or Featured if the inbound makes it worth it.
The honest list.
We don't sell badges.
Verified is a process, not a SKU. Agencies cannot pay to be Verified. Members and Featured tiers buy visibility — they do not buy trust.
We don't accept anonymous reviews.
B2B reviews are far more gameable than consumer ones. One fake 5★ can warp a small-N average. Every review is tied to a verified buyer identity.
We don't editorially pick Awards winners.
The algorithm runs on review aggregates. If we cherry-picked, the directory would mean nothing in three years. Public math is how the link economy stays honest.
We don't fake reviews to pad listings.
Unclaimed profiles start at zero verified-buyer reviews and stay there until a real buyer submits one we can confirm. No editorial 5★s, no agency-paid bumps, no 'curated' ratings for SEO.
Built by an operator, not a marketplace company.
TalentPros is built by Pixel Caribou, a Quebec digital studio. The premise is simple: the talent industry deserves the same evidence-based directory the SaaS world got with G2 — except built without the pay-to-play tilt.
If you spot a problem with a Verified agency, a fake-looking review, or a missing reference, tell us. The integrity of the data is the whole product.
